Sew a straight line!

Sew a straight line!

When I started my fashion design training, we were all so excited to finally start sewing. But then our teacher handed us… just a stack of paper.
That was our first sewing project!

On the paper were only lines...and all we had to do was sew along them. It wasn’t about speed or making anything fancy, it was just about control, learning to follow the line, to sew slowly, to turn around corners, and to get a feeling for the machine.
Sometimes she even told us to leave the needle down or use the handwheel to turn the fabric slowly

This is such an easy way to practice sewing straight lines! You can download the free PDF, print out the template, and try it yourself...just take it slow and focus on sewing more precisely.
